There’s no doubt that the festive season is a special time of the year that many look forward to. For those who live on the North Coast of KZN like we do, Christmas is an unmistakable celebration filled with all things uniquely coastal. Although there’s so much we love about the occasion, here’s why there’s absolutely nothing like it.
Christmas morning swims
Christmas on the North Coast means waking up, opening presents and heading down to the beach for a swim. Those with swimming pools at home relish the chance to take a quick dip before the day’s festivities begin. Although there are definitely some who enjoy a splash after Christmas lunch too! From our Clubhouse pool to private pools at home or even our direct beach access, there are ample places to swim if you live at Zululami.
Outdoor Christmas lunches
Those in the Northern Hemisphere will never know the joy of a Christmas that invites the outdoors in. With patio doors wide open or even better, the table set outside, our festive celebrations are enhanced by wonderful weather that gives every member of the family a reason to be thankful for homes that offer the best in indoor/outdoor living. At Zululami, we pride ourselves on delivering a world-class estate that gives residents every reason to feel at home. Whether it’s a normal day or Christmas day, every moment ought to feel like a special one.
Perfectly casual fare
The weather also makes room for things to feel a lot more relaxed, something we could all use after a long year. From a clothing point of view, many of us choose to play it cool in casual outfits with some even keeping their swimming costumes on to enjoy a dip in-between cooking duties. Higher temperatures also impact some of our food choices over the festive season with ice lollies, frozen cocktails and cold desserts making an appearance on the long-awaited Christmas table. A Christmas on the North Coast is whatever you want it to be. There are no rules, which is what we love most.
